About Swami Vivekananda Memorial Education Trust
Swami Vivekananda Memorial Education Trust, a trusted name in imparting quality guidance to the Rural Youth, was inspired by the life and ideals of Swami Vivekananda, a great thinker and reformer of India who embraces education, which for him signifies ‘man-making’, as the very mission of his life. The main aim of the trust is to provide proper guidance to the Rural Youth, especially those who belong to the deprived section of the society, in their career.

Career Counselling and Skill Development Centre functions under the aegis of Swami Vivekananda Memorial Education Trust at T-8, Pankaj Central Plaza, Pocket – 5, Plot – 5, Sector -12, KM Chowk, Dwarka, New Delhi – 110078.
Career Counselling & Skill Development Centre is an emerging innovative guidance centre – helping to shape the youth choosing suitable career after they have completed their eligibility academic qualifications. It offers proper guidance, congenial study environment and opportunity to the aspiring youth to excel in choosing their career in this competitive world. Highly experienced and dedicated faculty for counselling and guidance will share their knowledge and experiences for assisting the youth for suitable career.
The centre is governed by Board of trustees, chaired by its founder & visionary Lt. Col. (Retd.) D S Deswal who has been in this field for last 10 years.
AIM
The aim of Career Counselling and Skill Development Centre is to guide, motivate and train the Rural Youth for entry as officers in Civil Services, Defence Services & Paramilitary Forces.
OBJECTIVES
Ø To assist and guide the candidates in career counselling
Ø To provide quality guidance for Soft Skills/ Life Skills with special emphasis on Spoken English and all round Personality Development
Ø To provide proper guidance and counselling for entry into IAS, defence services, paramilitary forces, state services, PSUs, Law and Banking sector
Ø To provide guidance and counselling for entry into various Professional Institutes for specific training and guidance
ELIGIBILITY
ü Candidates eligible for appearing in competitive examinations for Civil Services, Defence Services & Paramilitary Forces
ü Minimum of 55% marks and above in graduation in Arts (50% marks and above in English subject), 70%-75% marks and above in Science subjects and 75%-80% marks and above in Commerce
Concession
ü Wards of the ex-servicemen who have laid down their lives during War/ Counter Insurgency Operations, are eligible for free guidance.
ü Wards of those servicemen and ex-servicemen, who belong to THE REGIMENT of GRENADIERS will be given 50% concession.
ü The candidates belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) will also be eligible for guidance free of charge
Note: Candidates will be selected based on merit through Screening/ Aptitude Test
